Project 2, 3D Line Definitions

Straight Lines-a line traced by a point traveling in a constant direction; a line of zero curvature; "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line"

Curved Lines -Bent without angles; crooked; curved; as, a curve line; a curve surface.

Vertical Lines -A line that has right angles to the horizon. A vertical line is straight up and down.

Horizontal lines -A line that runs side-to-side; the x-axis is an example of a horizontal line

Diagonal lines- Having a slanted or oblique direction.

Actual lines- a line that "actually" exists

Implied lines-Lines that may not have been explicitly drawn, but that the composition of the work makes it appear that they are there.

Sight line-...method of perspective drawing. By this method, as shown in the figure, the eye of the painter is connected to points on the landscape (the horizontal reality plane, RP) by so-called sight lines. The intersection of these sight lines with the vertical picture plane (PP) generates the drawing.

Space-The infinite extension of the three-dimensional region in which all matter exists

Presence-he state or fact of being present; current existence or occurrence.

Proximity- closeness; the state of being near as in space, time, or relationship

Closure -That which incloses or confines; an inclosure
